Yeah, it looks like something is messed up there.

CAIRO projects a Jose Lopez who is a Seattle catcher — some sort of amalgamation of the Seattle 2B and the Houston C. The player ID is for the Houston catcher.

However, it’s an odd projection if it is really intended to be either one of those players: It’s probably too good of a projection to be the Houston catcher. And 13 SB would be more than twice as many as the Seattle secondbaseman has ever had in a season.

Because (I think), the CAIRO spreadsheet has Seattle second-baseman Jose Lopez listed as a Catcher, your Price Guide turns him into the Houston Astro (minor league?) Catcher by the same name.

That is really screwing up CAIRO’s Catcher values, as you can imagine, and I think its 2B and MI values as well.

I was thinking (never a good thing)… but would the possibility to edit players’ positions be a useful enough feature to make it worth incorporating?

For instance, if you play in a league with unique position requirements.

Or, more to the point in my case. If I wanted to test some theories about changing player values, I might–for example–change Miguel Tejada’s position to 3B, or Gordon Beckham’s to 2B, etc. Would such a feature be possible? Or would it break the internet?
