Want to Try Out the New Price Guide?

I’ve mentioned that two of my goals for the Price Guide are to allow people to customize the projections and to let them enter keepers.

Well, those two things are getting close to happening.

Right now, I’m looking for some people to try out a beta version that includes these extra features:

UPDATE: These have now been included with the main Price Guide.

If you have some time, I’d appreciate if you try it out and post some feedback in the comments. Once I’m satisfied with these changes, I’ll update the regular Price Guide to include them.

Thanks for working so hard on this, Mays. What values would you suggest we enter for keepers in a snake draft format? Or does it matter?

  2. Mays says:

It shouldn’t matter. The order of the remaining players won’t change because the inflation affects everyone by the same percentage.

Very cool. Everything seems to work fine from what I can tell.

The only thing that could be improved is the projection customizations. It would be nice to be able to cut & paste an entire set of projections rather than having to go thru each player one by one. Not really sure if that’s doable though.

My favorite so far was making Brian McCann go 40/40 and seeing how valuable he’d be.

Great stuff here; I’d been working on developing a tool like this for myself, and just found this site yesterday while trying to see if there were existing calculations that I could compare mine to.

Anyway, I have a pretty simple request for the Price Guide — can you add an “IF” (any infielder) option to the roster positions? For right now I’ve just been adding a CI spot since there’s usually more usable CI’s than MI’s, but one of my leagues has an IF position and I want to check how that looks.
